Police extend deadline for tinted glass permit

The Nigeria Police Force has extended the enforcement date for the tinted glass permit to August 12, 2025.

This follows public concerns over the digital application system that was recently brought back into use.

Many Nigerians had raised issues with the process, prompting the police to take another look at the system.

The extension is meant to allow time for more upgrades and changes that will make the platform easier to use and fair to everyone.

The police said they are making efforts to improve both the online and physical application methods.

These changes aim to make verification faster and cut out delays or unnecessary problems for applicants.

Citizens who want to apply or renew their permit are advised to use the official website, possap.gov.ng.

The police also asked people to report any extra or hidden charges, or cases of extortion, especially during biometric capture, using the official phone line: 09169967000.

The Force assured the public that it is still working on improving its services while keeping safety and technology at the center of its operations.
