After fresh primaries, new Edo APC Governorship candidate emerges


Senator Monday Okpebholo of Edo Central has emerged victorious in the fresh Edo All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship primary election.

The declaration was made by Cross River Governor Bassey Otu, the Chairman of the Edo APC Governorship Primary Election Committee.

He announced Okpebholo as winner after the collation of results from the 18 local government areas at Lushville Hotel and Suites in Benin.

Okpebholo secured 12,433 votes, surpassing Dennis Idahosa, the representative of Ovia constituency in the House of Representatives, who garnered 6,541 votes.
