Popular comedian and former Big Brother Naija reality star, DeeOne, has emerged as the BOOT Party candidate for Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly election.
DeeOne, whose real name is Aderombi Adedayo Martins, secured the party’s ticket after winning the primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Reacting to his emergence, he thanked the party for its confidence in him and pledged to serve the people diligently if elected.
In a post on his Instagram page on Wednesday night, he wrote: “I want to thank my party, BOOT party for the confidence in voting for me to emerge the winner of the primary election for Ibeju lekki constituency 1.
“To Ibeju lekki constituency 1, come 2027 by the grace of God, I will be your worker and not your boss.”
The entertainer’s emergence marks his official entry into the race to represent Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
