FG summons Sheikh Gumi over alleged ties with bandits

The federal government has invited Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi for questioning.

The Islamic cleric was summoned over his comments on the activities of bandits in the country.

Mohammed Idris, minister of information and orientation, spoke on Monday while addressing journalists at the State House, Abuja.

Recall that the cleric had cautioned the Tinubu-led government to desist from bombing terrorists but rather, offer them a better life as this would be a more effective way of curbing insurgency in the country.
