Suspended Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara made his first public appearance on Sunday after returning from a two-week trip to the United Kingdom.
He showed up at the 2025 Thanksgiving Service organized by the Boys Brigade Metropolitan Battalion Council Nigeria.
The event was held at St. Cyprian’s Church, Anglican Communion, in Port Harcourt and was led by the Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Oko-Jaja.
Fubara, who came back to Port Harcourt on Saturday evening, attended the service to join in celebrating the success of the Boys Brigade’s religious camp activities in the state.
He was joined at the church by Amaopusenibo Fubara Hart and Dr. Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja.
A special prayer was offered for Fubara, his family, and the peace of Rivers State during the service.
Meanwhile Fubara and his estranged political godfather, Nyesom Wike, have reportedly reached an agreement aimed at resolving the political crisis in the state and facilitating Fubara’s return to office.
