The memo, circulating widely online and obtained by undisclosed sources, implicates Gbajabiamila in approving the withdrawal of 3 billion naira from the COVID-19 Palliative Fund to verify the National Social Register.

Dated 18th of September, 2023, with reference number SH/COS/145/A/220, the leaked memo reportedly reveals Gbajabiamila’s authorization for the suspended Minister, Betta Edu, to proceed with the controversial transaction on behalf of President Tinubu.
