The Founder and General Overseer of All Christians Fellowship Mission (ACFM), Rev. William Uzochukwu Okoye, has passed away.
The former Chaplain of the Aso Villa Chapel died peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, according to a statement released by the church’s Board of Trustees and National Executive Council.
The statement, signed by Rev. Godwin Tsee on behalf of the mission’s leadership, described Okoye as a devoted clergyman who spent his life serving God and humanity.
Okoye was the Aso Villa Chapel Chaplain during the administrations of former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan. He was also known for his role in building the ministry and strengthening the activities of ACFM.
Following his death, the church called on members and the Christian community to remain united, prayerful and committed to their faith as they mourn the loss of their leader.
The mission said it believed God would continue to guide and support the church and its members during the mourning period.
The leadership added that it was working with Okoye’s immediate family on plans to celebrate his life and legacy. Details of the funeral and burial arrangements will be announced through the official channels of the church.
Rev. Okoye is survived by six children and nine grandchildren, including Victor Okoye, a journalist with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
