How Drake lost $615,000 in Joshua vs. Ngannou fight

Rapper Drake faced a significant setback, losing a hefty $615,000 bet on the Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou fight.

Despite Drake’s previous success in betting on high-profile fights, this time, Joshua’s knockout victory over Ngannou resulted in a substantial loss for the award-winning artist.

If Ngannou had won, Drake stood to gain just under $2 million from his six-figure wager.

However, Joshua’s dominant performance, including a powerful right-hand knockout, sealed the outcome in his favor.

“It is what it is. What I said was on the route to the championship, you should always stay focused and that was me stepping aside from that mission. But when I saw the fight with him and Tyson Fury, I was like ‘Damn this guy can fight.’ He’s an inspiration, a great champion and this doesn’t take away anything from his capabilities,” Joshua said after the fight.
