“I am a man” – Bobrisky confesses in court

Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has confessed to being a man during a court hearing on Friday.

Despite previously claiming to have undergone surgeries to transition to a woman and even expressing readiness to bear a child, Bobrisky admitted his true gender when questioned by Justice Abimbola Awogboro.

The confession came just before he was handed a six-month jail term for pleading guilty to four counts of abusing the Naira currency, as charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The judge ruled that the jail term would commence from March 24, 2024, the day of Bobrisky’s arrest.
