I’ll fulfill all campaign promises – Gov. Fubara tells Rivers state residents

Gov. Siminalayi of Rivers State has vowed to fulfill all the campaign promises that he made to make life better for the state's residents

  • He also urged the state's residents to maintain peace and mutual cooperation

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has revealed that his administration is mindful of fulfilling all the promises that were made during the campaigns to make life better for all residents in the state.

The governor made the statement earlier today at the funeral reception of the late King Nelson Atubo Oputibeya XI, Amanyanabo of Koniju Town, in Koniju Town in Okrika Local Government Area.

Fubara added that one area of cooperation requested from the Rivers people is to maintain peace so that his administration can continue to deliver infrastructure and social services.

He also promised the people of Koniju Town that the process to officially Gazette the first class recognition given by the government to the Oputibeya Traditional Stool, which has been delayed, will be completed.

He said:

“Let me also say this, we must abide by the tenets of peace. That is the only way we can bring about the desired development. We are all yearning for the people of the State. So, I want to urge every one of you, please, ensure that you maintain peace so that the promises we made during our campaign will be fulfilled.”
