Jubilation as Singer Rema returns to Benin City after 6 years away [video]

Popular Nigerian music sensation Divine Ikubor commonly known as Rema has returned to Benin city in his state of origin Edo, after 6 years away. 

Rema who made a grand entrance was welcomed by a delegation of cultural dancers and other personalities. 

Amongst those in his welcome party included Israel DMW, personal assistant to ace musician Davido. He could be heard exclaiming when Rema stated that he’d been away for 6 years. 

Rema returns to his hometown with fellow son of the soil Shallipopi months after the Edo state government had planned a grand homecoming concert in his honor. 

The singer had been unable to attend but now seems set to make up for lost time.
