The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has arranged Saturday, November 18, for holding fresh elections in polling units where the exercise was earlier stopped in Kogi State.

The National Commissioner and Member of INEC’s Information and Voter Education Committee, Mohammed Kudu Haruna, divulged this in a statement issued in Abuja today.

According to him, the decision to conduct fresh elections is subject to the Returning Officer’s determination of the application of the Margin of Lead Principle.

He, however, added that the decision is without detriment to INEC’s previous commitment to following the detailed record of personnel, and materials to discover people involved in sabotaging the process and apply proper sanctions where necessary.
