NANS President Apologizes To Seyi Tinubu

The factional President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Atiku Abubakar Isah, has taken back his earlier accusations against Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, admitting that his claims were false.

Atiku had previously alleged in a viral video that Seyi Tinubu and the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Ayodele Olawande, invited him to Lagos and offered him ₦100 million to support President Tinubu, which he said he refused.

He also claimed that this refusal led to his alleged abduction on April 15, 2025.

However, in a statement posted on Facebook on Wednesday, Atiku apologised to Seyi Tinubu, admitting that the story was made up.

He said he had been misled by Ladoja Olusola, who, according to him, manipulated the situation in an attempt to seize power within NANS.

Atiku explained that Olusola, who was eager to remove him from his rightful position as president, provided him with false information to push his own selfish agenda.

Atiku also revealed that Olusola had warned him that Seyi Tinubu might order his killing and that the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, could cover it up.

Additionally, Atiku withdrew his earlier claim that Seyi Tinubu had brought thugs to disrupt his inauguration, confirming that Seyi was never at the venue.
