Ondo APC Governorship Primary Declared Inconclusive

The All Progressive Congress governorship primary election in Okitipupa council area of Ondo state has been deemed inconclusive.

This was due to logistical issues, leading to a rescheduling of the exercise for Sunday, April 21.

This decision followed delays in material and personnel arrival, affecting 13 wards. The initial election took place across 203 wards on April 20, with 16 governorship aspirants participating under the supervision of a seven-member committee chaired by Kogi state governor, Usman Ododo.

Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, the chairman of the Ondo Primary Election Committee, explained that the rescheduling was due to logistical challenges resulting in the late arrival of resources, particularly in Okitipupa Local Government, affecting a total of 9,515 registered members.

The new election in Okitipupa Local Government is set for 12 noon on Sunday, April 21, with subsequent collation of results to follow.
