National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), South-South, Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, has died at the age of 64.
Orbih died on Monday, August 31, 2026, according to a statement released by his family.
The family announced his death with sadness, saying he passed away after spending many years as a brother, husband, father and uncle to his loved ones.
The statement was signed by Francis Udukhomoi Orbih, who issued the announcement on behalf of the Orbih family.
Orbih was a prominent figure in Edo State politics and played a major role in the affairs of the PDP for several years.
He previously served as the chairman of the party in Edo State before moving to the national level.
He was also involved in various political activities and party positions during his long career and remained an influential voice in Edo and the wider South-South political space.
The late politician was survived by his wife, Mrs Florence Orbih, and his two children, Ms Winifred Anwosiobor Orbih and Dr Mildred Omonemi Orbih.
He was also survived by his brothers, sisters and other members of his extended family.
The family appealed to relatives, friends and well-wishers to remember them in their prayers as they come to terms with the loss.
