Phyna fans ‘gang up’ against Davido after he claimed not to know her [Video]

Fans of Bbnaija Level Up Winner, Phyna Otabor,  have expressed their discontent on social media after popular Nigerian musician Davido claimed he didn’t know the reality star.

The controversy arose when Phyna accused Davido of “hating” her due to his apparent support for a tweet that criticized her.

A user with the username @47kasz posted a tweet, stating,

There are some particular celebrities you’d stan & I will profile, judge & conclude you are useless cos why are you stanning Phyna????

Following the viral reaction to Davido’s social media activity, Phyna responded on her own handle, expressing her frustration:

What did I do, @davido? The hate is real… Congratulations on your twins, though.

In reply, Davido stated,

Thank you, love, but I actually don’t know who you are… and it was an honest mistake… no vex.

Davido’s response triggered mixed reactions from the public, with some applauding him for allegedly exposing clout chasing, while others criticized him for denying Phyna’s existence, who had won the Big Brother Naija reality TV show in 2022.

Phyna, undeterred by the situation, took to her handle and expressed her gratitude, saying,

God knows me. Thank you, Jesus. I’ll just double my hustle.

Phyna’s fans also took to Twitter to defend her, highlighting her popularity and achievements.

They also cursed the person whose tweet Davido had liked.
