President Buhari’s $22.7bn loan approved by Senate

The House of Senate has approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s $22,798,446,773.00 external loan request on Wednesday.

The President had requested for the loan to fund critical infrastructure projects under the 2016 – 2018 External Borrowing Plan.

The request was rejected in 2019 when the president sent it in by the senate under the previous senate president, Bukola Saraki.
