The funeral will follow on the subsequent day at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) City of David in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Wizkid’s deep affection for his mother was widely known.

In 2014, he released a touching song titled ‘Mummy Mi’ as part of his ‘Ayo’ album, dedicated to mothers around the world.

In the song, he expressed his appreciation for all the joy his mother had brought into his life and vowed to provide her with the best things life had to offer.

While Wizkid had shared in a 2012 radio interview that his father had three wives, it was clear that his connection with his mother was a special one.
