Popular Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has reacted to an alleged interview by her where she said she wasn’t getting awards due to sexual harassment in the industry.
The article had claimed that due to Yemi’s reluctance to give in to demands from senior persons in the industry, she was essentially blacklisted from major awards.
The singer has now taken to her Instagram page to debunk the story, claiming that it was an “unintelligent write up”
She added that the story was false as she blamed those who’d taken it far and wide.
She wrote:
“So yall gon start creating false stories everytime you get bored? Smh!
Stupidity at its peak! Very unintelligent writeup .
When I read the interview that Yemi Alade recently did, I was like “wow, Yemi Alade don suffer”
