Tinubu told to arrest Sunday Igboho

President Bola Tinubu has been advised by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) to arrest and prosecute Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Igboho.

Recall that Igboho said he is back to Nigeria to chase killer herdsmen from Yoruba land.

He called upon Yorubas to unite, urging them to liberate themselves from the control of armed Fulani herders, whom he accused of perpetrating violence against local farmers.

Miyetti Allah national president, Baba Othman Ngelzarma described Igboho’s statements as unlawful and equal to treason.

MACBAN urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and relevant security agencies to take swift action against Igboho, citing the precedent set by the arrest and detention of Nnamdi Kanu for a similar offence.

“We call on the commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) and relevant security agencies to arrest and prosecute Sunday Igboho for making this unlawful statement that amounts to treason because he is asking for the actualisation of Oduduwa nation.

“His statements are unlawful. If Nnamdi Kanu will be held behind bars for a similar offence, we see no reason why Sunday Igboho will be allowed to go scot-free”.
