Tiwa Savage cancels upcoming performance in South Africa over xenophobic attacks

Nigerian Afro pop singer Tiwa Savage, has reacted to the xenophobic attacks going on in South Africa by canceling her upcoming performance in the country.

She stated that she could no longer watch the killings and that she wouldn’t be performing at the DSTV delicious festival which was scheduled to hold in Johannesburg on the 21st of September.

Tiwa also prayed for all the victims and families affected by the incidents.

She wrote:

I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.

Meanwhile, singer Burna Boy has threatened South African rapper AKA with physical violence over his comments on the ongoing xenophobia.
