Breaking: 50 Cent announce plans to release movie series on Nigerian fraudster Hushpuppi

American rapper and movie producer Curtis James Jackson better known as 50 Cent, has announced that he would be releasing a movie series on the life on convicted Nigerian fraudster, Ramon Abass, otherwise known as Ray Hushpuppi.

Curtis made this announcement via his verified instagram account on Wednesday, 9th November 2022.

He told fans that the movie would be released soon.

This development comes a few days after United States judge, Otis Wright sentenced hushpuppi to 11 years in prison over multiple counts of internet related fraud.

Hushpuppi was sentenced to 11 years and three months precisely and ordered to pay $1,732,841 (N 762,034,158.16) in restitution to two of his fraud victims.

Who is Hushpuppi ?

Ramon Abass Olorunwa better known as Ray Hushpuppi or simply Hushpuppi, is a convicted Nigerian internet fraudster who was known for flaunting proceedings of his illegal activities on social media, especially instagram.

He was arrested in June 2020 at his apartment in Dubai for crimes bordering internent fraud, money laundering, multiple counts of hacking, impersonation, scamming, banking and identity theft.

Hushpuppi was then extradited to the United States by joint efforts from the FBI and the Dubai police in an operation dubbed Fox Hunt 2.

He stood trial for his crimes and on the 8 of November 2022, he was sentenced to 11 years (135 months) in US federal prison by California Judge Otis Wright ll.
