NDLEA arrests socialite Pretty Mike, 100 others at drug party in Lagos

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested Lagos socialite and nightclub owner, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike, alongside over 100 others, during a raid at Proxy Nightclub, Victoria Island, Lagos.

This was disclosed in a statement released by NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, today, October 26.

According to the statement, the operation was carried out in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, after intelligence reports indicated that a drug party was taking place at the venue.

NDLEA operatives, who had gone undercover at the club around 11 p.m. on Saturday, disrupted the event at about 3 a.m. in line with the agency’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Babafemi stated that cartons of illicit substances, including “loud” and laughing gas, were reportedly recovered from the suspects and the club’s storage area.

All those arrested were taken into custody for screening at the NDLEA headquarters in Ikoyi.

Meanwhile, former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tuoyo Ideh, who was among those detained, took to Instagram to share his experience.

He wrote:

“I have been arrested by the NDLEA from a nightclub in Lagos for basically nothing at all since around 4 a.m. They made us sit down like criminals. We are over 150 people here up till now that were carried to NDLEA headquarters, Ikoyi. We didn’t commit any crime. They came with guns inside the club and told everyone to lie down. This is actually crazy.”

The NDLEA has not yet issued an official statement on the outcome of the operation.

They should grand them pardon now or they should handover them to Mr. President for his political ambition.
