Singer Ruger has addressed viral comments about the absence of weed at his recent party, stating that he doesn’t smoke and hence makes no plans to have it available at his gatherings.
In a post shared on social media, the Asiwaju crooner wrote:
“So I see some people saying there was no sign of weed at my party. Well, I don’t smoke and my closest friends don’t do it either. So if you’re coming to any gathering I put together, and you smoke, there will be no weed for you ooo.”
He however stated that he doesn’t mind if others decide to bring the substance on their own and even seemingly encouraged it.
A fan asked him, “U don’t judge those who bring theirs though. Yeah?”
Ruger simply replied, “I don’t gee.”
Another follower added, “That is to say – Bring your own Zaza.”
And the singer affirmed, “You get.”
Ruger’s comments come amid increased scrutiny of parties and music events in Nigeria.
Recall that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) recently arrested club owner Pretty Mike and others for allegedly hosting a “drug party.”
The agency has since announced plans to clamp down on gatherings where drug use or abuse takes place.
