Trump takes action against Nigeria over alleged christian genocide

United States President Donald J. Trump has announced that his administration is taking action against Nigeria over what he described as the ongoing “mass slaughter” of Christians by radical Islamist groups.

In a statement posted on his Truth Social account, President Trump said Christianity in Nigeria faces an “existential threat,” alleging that thousands of Christians have been killed in recent years.

He declared that Nigeria would be re-designated a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC), a U.S. foreign policy classification reserved for countries accused of severe violations of religious freedom.

He further stated that more was to come as he had directed Congressman Riley Moore, Chairman Tom Cole, and the House Appropriations Committee to investigate and report back to him.

“The United States cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening in Nigeria and numerous other countries,” Trump said. “We stand ready, willing, and able to save our Great Christian population around the world.”

Nigeria was first placed on the CPC list in December 2020 during Trump’s previous term but was removed the following year by the Biden administration.

The Nigerian government has repeatedly denied allegations of a religious genocide, insisting that the violence affects both Christians and Muslims and is driven by terrorism, ethnic tensions, and resource conflicts.

Trump’s full statement on Truth Social reads:

“Christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria. Thousands of Christians are being killed. Radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter. I am hereby making Nigeria a ‘COUNTRY OF PARTICULAR CONCERN’ — But that is the least of it. When Christians, or any such group, is slaughtered like is happening in Nigeria (3,100 versus 4,476 Worldwide), something must be done! I am asking Congressman Riley Moore, together with Chairman Tom Cole and the House Appropriations Committee, to immediately look into this matter, and report back to me. The United States cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening in Nigeria, and numerous other Countries. We stand ready, willing, and able to save our Great Christian population around the World!
DONALD J. TRUMP,
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.”

Israel is yet to be declared Country of Particular Concern, despite the killing of thousands of Palestinians. Trump is continually giving them weapons to kill innocent people. There is God woooh.
