Tunji Disu, the new Inspector-General of Police, has inaugurated an eight-member committee to oversee the implementation of state police in Nigeria.
The committee, inaugurated on Wednesday, will be led by Professor Olu Ogunsakin, a scholar of police studies.
The move comes amid ongoing efforts by the federal government to address rising insecurity across the country.
