FFK to Germany, Omokri to Mexico as Tinubu Posts Ambassadors

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the postings of 65 ambassadors, including 34 non-career and 31 career diplomats, to various countries and the United Nations. 

Recall Dockaysworld reported that the Senate confirmed the ambassadors-designate last December.

The postings were announced by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy on Thursday.

President Tinubu has directed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs immediately begin induction programs for all ambassadors-designate and High Commissioners, signaling the administration’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s diplomatic engagement worldwide.

Among the non-career appointees, former Minister Femi Fani-Kayode will represent Nigeria in Germany, while public commentator Reno Omokri has been posted to Mexico. 

Other notable postings include Senator Grace Bent to Togo, Sen. Ita Enang to South Africa, and Mahmud Yakubu to Qatar.

The career diplomats’ postings cover a wide range of countries across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas. 

For instance, Ambassador Mohammed Saidu Dahiru will serve in New Delhi, India, while Ambassador Romata Mohammed Omobolanle will represent Nigeria in Tanzania.
