A policeman in Okpe, Delta state yesterday broke a phone belonging to a student of Delta State University(DELSU) for being ‘too expensive’.

The bus conveying the students had been stopped for a normal stop and search operation, but he extended the search to the phones of the passengers, only to see one of them using an iPhone.

The agitated officer had inquired about the cost of the phone. When the student had told him it cost N200k, the Policeman began to lament that despite 14 years in the police force, he could not afford such a phone.

The matter dragged for a very long time and the students were prevented from proceeding on the trip with the other passengers.
