It is time for the Bible to be updated – Nigerian researcher advises

A Netherlands-based Nigerian researcher identified as Emeka Chinaka on Facebook, has made a call for the Bible to be updated to reflect the knowledge and findings of today.

According to the Nigerian researcher, Bible verses like Psalms 93:1, 96:10 and 1 Chronicles 16:30 have been disproved by science with facts hence the need for the Bible to be updated.

He wrote;

Psalms 93:1, 96:10 and 1 Chronicles 16:30: “The world is established. It can not be moved”. Psalm 104:5, “He (the lord) laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever”.

This has been disproved by science with facts. “The Sun is stationary and the earth orbits around the Sun and rotates on its axis”

Galileo Galilei tried to prove this with his theory of Heliocentrism and was accused of heresy by the Church and condemned to house arrest for the rest of his life.

Yet these verses are still in the bible. Is it not time the bible is updated to reflect the knowledge and findings of today?
