Super eagles coach Gernot Rohr, loses mother at age 97

Super eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has lost his mother Elisabeth Rohr at the age of 97.

The Nigeria Football Federation through its official Twitter handle announced the news but the course of her death was never revealed.

This news also came barely two days after Rohr led the Super Eagles to a 2-2 draw in an international friendly against Ukraine at the Dnipro Stadium.

Rohr has been in charge of the three time African champions since 2016, following the dismissal of former boss Sunday Oliseh.

The tactician led Nigeria to win bronze medal at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations championship held in Egypt earlier
this summer.
