American business mogul and singer, Rihanna, has appreciated Nigerian Alte legend, Temilade Openiyi better known as Tems, for writing ‘Lift Me Up’, a song voiced by riri in honor of the late Chadwick Boseman of Black Panther.
Tems had earlier announced to fans that she was excited to have written the song in honor of the late actor.
She wrote;
Blessed to have written this song in honour of Chadwick Boseman and even more blessed to hear the baddest @badgalriri voice it to perfection”
Riri responded;
It’s the pen for me & A love to you sistren
Sadly, the world was shocked after chadwick who fought a long battle with colorectal cancer, died on August 28, 2020 at the age of 43.
The song would feature in marvel’s new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever movie, which is set to premiere in November 2022.
Marvel directors also decided not to recast Chadwick boseman’s T’challa (black panther) role with a different actor.
