The Federal Government of Nigeria has signed a visa-free travel agreement with St Kitts and Nevis, allowing citizens of the Caribbean nation to visit Nigeria without visas and vice-versa.
The arrangement followed discussions between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew during official meetings in Abuja and regional sessions with leaders of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States.
The St Kitts and Nevis government explained that the move builds on its long-standing practice of granting Nigerian nationals visa-free entry and is a step towards strengthening ties across the Atlantic.
Officials said that the deal reflects the shared goal of both governments to deepen cooperation and remove barriers between their people.
The agreement is expected to open doors for greater collaboration in trade, education, tourism, and investment while reinforcing historical links between Africa and the Caribbean.
Both countries also expressed commitment to advancing relations under ongoing regional and international development agendas.
