BBNaija All Stars: Ilebaye reacts after being attacked for demanding money from fans after winning N120m

BBNaija All Stars winner Ilebaye has reacted after Nigerians attacked her for demanding donations from fans barely 24 hours after winning the grand prize of N120 million.

Recall that illebaye had clinched the grand prize after defeating her close rivals Mercy and Cee-C.

In her tweet, she had written:

We’ve received information about fans planning to send gifts or contributions. Please refrain from sending money to any account that isn’t officially posted on Ilebaye’s verified accounts. For gifts, please send an email. The only accessible account is the Baye Tribe account (9608176782 – Providus). We won’t be responsible for any misappropriation of funds. Thank you 🙏🏾

However Nigerians took to the comments to blast her:

Reacting to the backlash, Ilebaye put out a new tweet and she disabled comments

This tweet was solely to avoid people who WANT to gift falling into the hands of scammers.

We didn’t solicit for funds, we only highlighted the account we have access to.
