Court adjourns suit seeking Hope Uzodinma’s sack

The Supreme Court will on December 5 hear APGA's suit seeking to sack Hope Uzodimma of Imo State

  • The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of APGA's suit seeking Uzodinma's removal from office
  • The case has been moved to December 5

The Supreme Court adjourned the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) application seeking to sack Hope Uzodimma.

The apex court will now hear the case on December 5.

The case was fixed for October 31, 2023 but no reason was given for the adjournment.

In 2020,  APGA asked for a new election in the state because the highest court canceled the election of the PDP candidate Emeka Ihedioha.

They said the Supreme Court did not decide if Uzodimma’s candidacy was valid because Ihedioha and the PDP did not question it in their appeal.

After three years, the Supreme Court set a date to hear this case, but when journalists went there on Tuesday, they didn’t find it on the court’s schedule.

A court official said the case got postponed to December 5.
