Farmer cries out as he loses 3,897 chickens to flood, bird flu in Bayesla [video]

A farmer in Bayesla state identified as @iamElderson on Twitter has cried out after he lost 3,897 birds to bird flu and flood.

The farmer took to his page to lament that the state had been cut off by water, hence there was no route to getting feeds or medics for the birds.

He stated that he was depressed as he called on the federal government to come to his aid as the problems proved bigger than he could handle.

He tweeted:

This is my farm in Bayelsa State. The state has been cut off. No way to bring in feeds, nor medics. We are fighting both flood and birdflu at the same time. As at yesterday, lost 3, 897 birds. My heart is failing me. Totally depressed don’t know how to feel right now… watching my investment destroyed gradually before my very eyes.

Recall that Dockaysworld reported that the flooding situation had led to hippopotamus sighted in Anambra and the Delta state University of science and technology Ozoro becoming submerged under water. The government has been called upon to remedy the situation in the shortest time.
