Fuel Price Jumps to N617 per litre months after subsidy removal

About two months since the removal of subsidy, the price of Petrol has increased to about N617 per litre despite initial increase to N539.

According to Daily Trust, the confirmation came after a visit to the official NNPC filling station in the Central area of Abuja.

A customer speaking to the correspondent said: “It is true, I just bought at N617 per liter,”

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NDMPRA) is yet to react but speculations abound that the price increase due to recent import of new stock by marketers.
