The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded results from 2,048 of the 2,445 polling units in the Ekiti State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal (IReV), representing 83.7 per cent of total results as of 6:41 p.m. on Saturday.

The figure marks a significant jump from the 35.5 per cent recorded at 6:12 p.m., barely 30 minutes earlier, as the commission continued the transmission of results from across the state.

Other prominent contenders include Oluwole Oluyede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oluwadare Bejide of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Oyebanji Olajuyin of the Labour Party (LP), and Blessing Abegunde of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
