It’s an endangered species – Nigerians blast journalist for killing and eating chimpanzee in Bayelsa [photos]

An internet journalist identified as Arimieye Thomas on Twitter has come under fire after he revealed that he ate a chimpanzee in Bayelsa state.

The journalist took to his Twitter page where he revealed that the chimp had been gunned down by a hunter.

He’d gone on to share photos of the creature and the meal he made of it afterwards.

Nigerians did not take too kindly to this as they accused him of practicing pseudo cannibalism as chimps are regarded as cousins of humans due to near DNAs.
