Nigerian music is mostly about nothing, lacks substance – Burna boy shades industry [video]

Grammy award winning Nigerian musician Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy, has seemingly called out his colleagues in the industry as he says they mostly sing about nothing.

Burna in a recent interview spoke about what his own idea of good music is, as he condemned the majority of the music his peers are making.

According to the singer who has an album on the way, music was meant to be about life and not just a great time as life is about ups and downs.

He hinted that he was different as his music was about him and experiences which showed the dynamic nature of life.

The comment has garnered numerous reactions from fans of other musicians who feel he was condescending in his assessment.
