NSCDC vehicle transporting election materials to Lagos crashes in Abuja [video]

A vehicle of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, which was  carrying election materials from Abuja to Lagos crashed in Abuja on Friday evening.

The crash which happened on election eve occurred at the Giri Roundabout bridge in Abuja.

Though the vehicle was carrying officials of the NSCDC, there are currently no reported casualties as they all survived the incident.

In a video on social media, people could be seen rendering helping to pick up papers suspected to be electoral materials littered on the ground.

A man who spoke in the video said some of the passengers were injured adding that one of them sustained a head injury.

He said,

“When the accident happened the people at the back hit the wood and one person in front had a cut on the head. I don’t know if he will be able to survive.
“We then called for help. But some of the senior officers were moved to Gwarindada.”
