The trial of the five suspects linked to the Rivers House of Assembly burning on Dec. 29, 2023, was adjourned in a Federal High Court, Abuja, until March 19.
This delay resulted from Mr. Lukman Fagbemi, SAN, representing two defendants, revealing that the prosecution filed a counter affidavit with serious allegations.
Fagbemi contested the charge’s competence and the court’s territorial jurisdiction, requiring more time to assess and respond.
