The Lagos State Government has sealed Celestial Church of Christ located on Adetola Buhari Street, Okerube Bus Stop, Ikotun and 11 other establishments across the state over alleged violations of environmental regulations.
The church was sealed over alleged noise pollution and failure to comply with the agency’s directives.
The affected establishments include hotels, lounges, a nightclub, a plastic company, a vegetable oil business and a furniture company.
The enforcement was carried out by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in areas including Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.
LASEPA said the establishments were shut after allegedly failing to comply with environmental requirements despite previous warnings, abatement notices and opportunities given to them to address the violations.
Thrillz Lounge on Odusanmi Street, Ogba, was also sealed over noise pollution and non-compliance.
Other establishments affected by the enforcement include Feixiang Plastic along LASU-Ojo Road, Oko Filling Bus Stop, which was sealed for non-compliance with LASEPA’s directives.
Marvel Hotel & Suites at Chrisbee Crescent, BRT Bus Stop, Igando, was shut over noise pollution and non-compliance, while Keviz Hotel & Suites on Councilor Ajayi Street, Obadore Bus Stop, LASU-Iba Road, was sealed over alleged obstruction of duty and non-compliance.
DSN Hotel & Suites on Benson Onyeacholen Street, O’Mark Bus Stop, LASU-Igando Road, and Rudaj Vegetable Oil on Tanimowo Street, Ologufe Bus Stop, Igando Road, were also sealed for failing to comply with the agency’s directives.
Limas on Aro-Oloye Street, off Abaranje Road, Abaranje, Ikotun, was among the establishments shut down, while Nico Hotel & Suites at Ayawo Close, NEPA Bus Stop, Egbe-Isolo Road, Ejigbo, was also sealed for non-compliance.
Kobo Night Club on Abanishe Street, off Hostel Road, Agodo-Egbe, was closed over noise pollution and alleged failure to comply with LASEPA’s directives.
Master Furniture on Coleman Street, Pao Bus Stop, Idimu-Ikota Road, and Nikky’s Executive Bar & Lounge on Governor’s Road, Ikotun, were also affected by the operation.
LASEPA said the enforcement formed part of the state government’s efforts to ensure compliance with environmental laws and protect the health and safety of residents.
The agency said it would continue to take action against establishments that violate environmental regulations across Lagos.
It also urged business owners, facility operators, religious institutions, scrap dealers and other residents to obtain the required permits and approvals and comply with environmental rules.
