The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has dismissed rumours that Monday’s explosion near the Nyanya area was a suicide bombing.
Speaking during a project inspection in Abuja on Wednesday, Wike clarified that the incident involved a man who unknowingly picked up an explosive material from a quarry site.
The material later exploded, causing the blast.
