Popular Nigerian dancer and socialite, Iweh Pascal Odinaka, better known as Poco Lee, is set to appear before the Snaresbrook Crown Court in London over an assault allegation.
The Punch reports that the court confirmed the case in correspondence with its correspondent on Tuesday, stating that the matter is listed for plea and trial preparation on September 15, 2026.
The court’s Admin Team Lead, James Baker, said the hearing would be open to the public but declined to provide the exact time and courtroom details ahead of the date.
He wrote, “OFFICIAL. Good afternoon. I can confirm that this case is currently listed at Snaresbrook Crown Court for plea and trial preparation on the 15th September 2026.
“Criminal Court hearings are open to the public. Precise times and courtroom information will not be available until the day before the hearing. Many thanks.”
The confirmation follows comments by Benjamin Kuti, founder of the community of Nigerians in the United Kingdom, who said Poco Lee was being held on remand and was due to appear in court in September.
“I can confirm that the reports are true. Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison. His next court date is scheduled for the second week of September, when he is expected to have a plea hearing,” Kuti said.
Kuti explained that a plea hearing would typically involve the accused entering either a guilty or not-guilty plea.
He also said he planned to attend the proceedings as part of his support for Nigerians involved in legal matters in the UK.
