Two female students from Kwara State Polytechnic who were arrested in connection with the alleged murder of one Adeniyi Ojo have provided their account of the events leading up to the tragic incident.

Adanma Joseph, one of the suspects, shared their side of the story during a press conference organized by the Force Public Relations officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

According to the suspects, their actions were a response to a harrowing situation.

Adanma Joseph explained that their initial intention was to steal from the deceased, who had expressed intentions of engaging in intimate activities with her and her friend, Favour Vandora Davies.

The suspect revealed that their association with the deceased began when she worked at his clubhouse for approximately three months in 2022.

However, their relationship took an unexpected turn when the government’s closure of the clubhouse changed their circumstances.

Adanma described how the deceased’s request for intimate relations prompted her to involve her friend in their plan to steal from him.

Their initial idea was to lure him into his car, believing they might find money there.

However, the situation took an unexpected turn, leading them to a room where they restrained the deceased under the pretense of engaging in a consensual BDSM encounter.

When the deceased attempted to raise an alarm, they covered his mouth with a pillow.

The suspects claim that they were entirely unaware of the man’s condition when they left with his phone, believing he was simply pretending to be asleep.

They expressed deep remorse for their actions during the briefing.
