Young Nigerian Boy Kelechi Completes Guinness world Record for most watermelon eaten in 30 seconds [video]

A 17-year-old Nigerian Boy identified as Akor Kelechi Kingsley, has completed his attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most watermelon eaten in 30 seconds.

The young boy completed the challenge on July 20, and after he ate about 750g of watermelon within the 30-second time mark.

He had been aiming to beat the previous record of 675 grammes held by André Ortolf (Germany) in Augsburg, Germany, on August 4, 2018.

The attempt was done at a children’s holiday camp to show how records are attempted.

Kelechi also confirmed with beforehand that his attempt was approved by the Guinness world records body and not simply an informal challenge.

He now awaits official certification and confirmation by the body.
