A former governorship candidate in Kogi State, Olayinka Braimoh, has officially left Action Alliance and joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dockaysworld reports.
Braimoh had contested the 2023 governorship election under the Action Alliance platform.
The defection was announced on Saturday in Kabba, the headquarters of Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area.
Braimoh explained that his move to ADC was driven by the need to create change in the state’s leadership.
He described the party as a platform that could help him achieve his vision for a new Kogi State, calling on residents to join the ADC’s growing presence in the state.
Braimoh also urged Kogites and Nigerians to obtain their permanent voter cards to fully participate in upcoming elections, emphasizing that active involvement is essential for achieving a better Nigeria.
Kogi State ADC Chairman, Hon. Kingsley Temitope Ogga, welcomed Braimoh’s defection, calling it a positive step for the party. Ogga said the ADC is united and prepared to present credible leaders who will govern with integrity.
Braimoh received his membership card during the ceremony, marking the official transition to his new party.
