Osun PDP governorship candidates emerges after Adeleke’s resignation

Adebayo Olugbenga Adedamola has been chosen as the Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate after a keen contest in Osogbo.

The primary election took place on Tuesday at Adolak Hall, where party delegates cast their votes to decide who would fly the PDP flag in the coming governorship race.

Adedamola secured 919 votes, placing him ahead of other aspirants and confirming him as the party’s choice.

His emergence followed recent events in the party, as Governor Ademola Adeleke, whose name had earlier been included in the list of those expected to take part in the primary, stepped down from the PDP before the exercise began.
