The committee on National Security and Intelligence now has Senator Yahaya Abdullahi from Kebbi State as its new chairman.

He was moved from the committee on National Planning, where he previously served as chairman.

Another change involves the committee on Livestock and Animal Husbandry.

Senator Shehu Buba from Bauchi State has been named the new chairman, days after he was removed from his former role as chairman of the committee on National Security and Intelligence.

In a related development, Senator Mustafa Musa from Yobe State has been assigned as the new chairman of the committee on National Planning, replacing Senator Yahaya Abdullahi who now heads the security committee.

The committee on Air Force has also been adjusted to ensure smooth operations.

The Senate Minority Whip, Senator Osita Ngwu from Enugu State, will now serve as acting chairman.

He previously worked as deputy chairman of the same committee, which had been under Senator Akwashiki before he became indisposed.

The Senate said the latest changes are aimed at strengthening the committees and ensuring they continue to function without gaps.
