Tinubu makes six new appointments
President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of six zonal ambassadors to lead the Renewed Hope Initiative Committees across the country as part of a wider plan to strengthen grassroots mobilization and push ongoing reforms.
The appointment followed the formal introduction of the committees at an event in Abuja led on behalf of the President by Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
The gathering brought together political figures from different regions as the government moves to deepen public support for its programmes.
A statement from the South-West coordinating office confirmed that Senator Dayo Adeyeye will head the Renewed Hope Initiative in the South-West.
The President also named other zonal ambassadors. Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura will oversee the North-Central zone, while Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa takes charge of the South-South.
Former Bauchi governor Isah Yuguda will lead the North-East, Aminu Bello Masari will coordinate the North-West, and Senator Anyim Pius Anyim will handle the South-East.
According to the statement, Adeyeye expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him and said he is ready to work closely with the National Coordinator, Governor Hope Uzodimma, as well as other appointees.
He also encouraged every member of the new team to stay fully committed to the goals of the Renewed Hope Initiative as it continues across the country.
